As I write this, tomorrow is the first day of spring—my sense is this will not last through the spring. Let’s not give in to fear, but STAND STRONG in faith—thereby turning adversity into opportunity!
Be The Light
I’ve held off posting any prophetic sensings concerning the recent coronavirus outbreak since the word on the land of Goshen and Psalm 91 posted last Friday. But as people have continued to ask what I’m hearing, I felt led today to compile several themes and Scriptures the Lord has been impressing upon me.
First, let me say we are praying for you. Our hearts go out to those who are ill or who’ve had to close their business or been laid off work and are struggling to pay bills, meet daily needs and navigate evolving challenges. No matter what your circumstances, we encourage you to press into the Lord daily to meditate on His Word, worship, praise, and seek Him in prayer. Doing so will cause FAITH to drive out FEAR!
For those who are able, there’s great opportunity to be out in your community and BE THE LIGHT. Again, only if you’re able—if you’re in good health, have low risk factors, and feel led—and of course stay in compliance to any health restrictions, standards or rules.
My husband and I have really enjoyed putting “boots to the ground” over the last several days. We’ve talked with a number of affected restaurant and business owners, as well as employees, and law enforcement personnel to encourage them and offer prayer. We’ve driven to countless stores to procure staples and to hunt down hard-to-find items (yes, toilet paper!) to share. And we’re keeping tabs on those who are unable, for whatever reason, to do the same for themselves.
Over and over again the Lord’s given me Ephesians 5:8 (NKJV): “For you were once darkness, but now you are light in the Lord. Walk as children of light.”
I encourage you to have an openness to sacrifice and to ask yourself, “How can I be the light?”
Revival Vs. Survival
Another theme I’m hearing concerns an attitude of revival vs. survival. There’s no denying we need to do practical and physical things in order to survive—to keep others and ourselves safe. But my sense is that the bigger picture is about revival. The enemy, Satan, is the source of pestilence and disease—not God (John 10:10). But it wouldn’t surprise me at all if God used adverse circumstances to spark a new wave of revival. What the enemy means for harm, God can use for good (Gen. 50:20; Rom. 8:28)!
Several nights ago I had two dreams in which the Lord once again showed me the babies He previously identified to me as “Awakening” and “Revival.” I was just infatuated by these babies and could hardly put them down this time. In one of these dreams the babies had exaggerated rolls of fat on their wrists and arms. I even commented that it looked wavy, like cooked bacon! An angel in the dream turned to me and said, “That means they are HEALTHY and there’s plenty of room for them TO GROW into their skin.”
Friends, I believe there’s about to be an outpouring of the Spirit. It’s critical the church does not become so distracted by survival that it neglects to see the bigger picture—that of coming revival.
Exposing Coverups
I’ve also been hearing the Lord speak about exposing coverups. He recently gave me Luke 12:3 (NKJV), which reads, “Therefore whatever you have spoken in the dark will be heard in the light, and what you have spoken in the ear in inner rooms will be proclaimed on the housetops.”
My sense is the Lord is going to use this recent outbreak to shake some things loose. Don’t be surprised if major coverups in government, media, and even religion soon are exposed. The Lord is also moving to purify His church. Last October the Lord gave me a word linking a move of purity to coming new levels of Pentecostal power. As in the days of Acts, we are to hold nothing back. Power increases purity—and we will not have one without the other (see Acts 5).
You and Your Household
It is critical to be praying Psalm 91, even daily, over yourself and your household. Acts 16:25-34 tells the story of Paul, Silas and the Philippian jailer. When the jailer asked what he must do to be saved, they responded, “Believe on the Lord Jesus Christ, and you will be saved, you and YOUR HOUSEHOLD” (v. 31, NKJV).
Of course, every individual must make a decision of salvation for him or herself, but there IS a special grace that extends over a household through familial connection. The blood placed on the doorposts at Passover protected all within, and the psalmist declared that to those who make the Lord their refuge, no plague will come near their dwelling—this includes ALL within (Exod. 12:7-12; Ps. 91:9).
It’s the same with protection as with salvation or healing, in that Jesus paid it in full on the cross. He did it all already—there’s nothing left to do. It’s ours to receive by faith. Pray with me: “’Because you have made the Lord, who is my refuge, even the Most High, your dwelling place, no evil shall befall you, nor shall any plague come near your dwelling’ (Ps. 91:9, NKJV). Thank you, Lord for protecting me!”
Onward Christian Soldiers
A final thought. One recent morning I awoke to hear the Lord say, “Onward Christian soldiers.” Then the well-known song began to resonate in my spirit. Friends, we do not war against flesh and blood, but the powers of darkness are indeed our enemy (Eph. 6:12). As I write this, tomorrow is the first day of spring—my sense is this will not last through the spring. In the triumph song.
Glory, laud and honor
Unto Christ, the King;
This through countless ages
Men and angels sing.
