There is something in the air—something’s about to happen. Just as everything changed when the Israelites crossed the Jordan, everything changed on the day of Pentecost. God can make up for lost time; God can change everything in one day… By entering into a new kingdom era it means everything’s about to change—it means you’re headed to the next level!
Thy Kingdom Come
Several years ago the Lord began speaking to me about demystifying the concept of reformation and how believers can become positioned to influence the seven mountains of culture. As I read Deuteronomy 28 the Lord just opened this chapter up to me and began speaking to me some things from it. Verses 1-14 reveal that as we obey the voice of His Spirit and are careful to observe His commands, He promises to open the treasures of heaven and bless all the work of our hands—to set us above the people of the earth, to make us the head and not the tail. A critical progression is revealed in this passage—obedience brings blessing, and blessing brings influence!
It’s so important to just realize you are blessed by God. Even as Israel walked in God’s favor, believers today are the spiritual children of Abraham under the new and better covenant (Gal. 3:29; Heb. 8-10). Just as Israel was God’s chosen nation, 1 Peter 2:9 establishes that believers too are a chosen generation, a royal priesthood, a holy nation made up of His own special people—a kingdom nation!
In Matthew 6:9-10 (KJV) Jesus taught us to pray, “Thy kingdom come, Thy will be done…” The church is currently in a final age of reformation which will culminate with the announcement in Revelation 11:15, that the kingdoms of this world have become the kingdoms of our Lord and His Christ. This culmination is linked to Matthew 24:14 (NKJV), which says, “And this gospel of the kingdom will be preached in all the world as a witness to all the nations, and then the end will come.”
The gospel of the kingdom differs from the gospel of salvation in that it also teaches people how to apply the influence of heaven to their everyday lives—including their surroundings and daily activities. This then, is the full and entire will of the Father, that believers reach and influence nations with the gospel of the kingdom. As we do this we are the answer to our prayer, “Thy Kingdom come!”
A Crossing Over
Many prophetic voices are saying that we have entered a new era. The Lord recently directed me to Deuteronomy 27:2 (NKJV), which reads, “And it shall be on the day when you cross over the Jordan to the land which the Lord your God is giving you…” This crossing over (also mentioned in verses 3, 4 and 11) is the context that sets up the blessings more specifically expressed in chapter 28.
Moses basically told the people that when they’d crossed over the Jordan a brand new era would begin that required a new level of commitment to “obey the voice of the Lord your God, and observe His commandments” (Deut. 27:10, NKJV; see also 28:1). In a prophetic sense, we have “crossed over” into a new era of the kingdom about to be revealed in the earth, which also mandates a new commitment to obey God’s voice and keep His commands.
This prophetic crossing over will be accompanied by an outpouring of the Holy Spirit—similar, I believe, to the days of Pentecost when Peter stood up and quoted from Joel 2:28-29 and said, “’And it shall come to pass in the last days, says God, that I will pour out My Spirit on all flesh; Your sons and your daughters shall prophesy, your young men shall see visions, your old men shall dream dreams. And on My menservants and on My maidservants I will pour out My Spirit in those days…’” (Acts 2:16-18, NKJV).
Friends, there is something in the air—something’s about to happen. Just as everything changed when the Israelites crossed the Jordan, everything changed on the day of Pentecost. God can make up for lost time; God can change everything in one day. It seems as though by entering into a new kingdom era it means everything’s about to change—it means you’re headed to the next level!
New Protection and Provision
Two specific new levels I’ve been hearing about are protection and provision. I heard the Lord say, “The angelic level of protection around you is increasing.” But this word may not be for everyone—I also heard these new levels are available to those who preach the gospel of the kingdom.
Crossing over the Jordan meant brand new provision for the children of Israel. Once there, on the day after Passover, they ate of the produce of the land. Suddenly their provision changed—in one day everything changed! The manna ceased on the day after they’d eaten of the land. They no longer had manna, but ate the food of the land of Canaan (Josh. 5:10-12).
The Lord’s been showing me that this prophetic crossing over will result in Him summoning new provision for you. Isaiah 45 reveals that the Lord raised up Cyrus to “rebuild My city and set My exiles free” (v. 13, NIV). He said of Cyrus, “I will give you the treasures of darkness, riches stored in secret places, so that you may know that I am the Lord, the God of Israel, who summons you by name. For the sake of Jacob my servant, of Israel my chosen, I summon you by name…” (vv. 3-4, NIV). Cyrus, who represents provision, was summoned so that God’s will for His people at that time might be accomplished.
What is the full and entire will of the Father for us in our time? —Thy kingdom come! In this new era, those who work with Him to establish His kingdom on top of the other kingdoms (mountains) will see provision summoned for them and manifest in brand new ways (Isa. 2:2). I hear the Lord saying, “Do not hesitate to bring your needs to Me. Be bold. Don’t let the lack from past seasons affect your faith for this new season. Just believe in ME.”
A Time of Boldness and Favor
I also heard the Lord say, “The time of the breaker anointing is here.” Someone who breaks open the way goes first—they do and say things before anyone else is doing and saying them. This means it’s a season for boldness, just as Peter spoke with boldness on the day of Pentecost, and together with other believers prayed for boldness in the face of adversity (Acts 2:14-39, 4:23-31).
It’s also a time of great favor. But favor is something God intends you to use as leverage to advance His kingdom—you have to cash it in, redeem it. Much like a gift card or a loyalty card that accumulates points towards merchandise—favor is only good if you use it. Otherwise it serves no purpose, and like a gift or loyalty card can even get lost or expire.
There is great grace in this season for overcoming your fears. Faithful is the One who has promised—just believe in Him! We’re about to see a great display of the Lord’s glory. I dare say this is the era that will usher in the kingdom age—the one we’ve been waiting for! Lord, let it be so!
“That in the dispensation of the fullness of the times, He might gather together in one all things in Christ, both which are in heaven and which are on earth—in Him” (Eph. 1:10, NKJV).
