“… Like dawn spreading across the mountains a large and mighty army comes, such as never was in ancient times nor ever will be in ages to come. The Lord thunders at the head of His army; His forces are beyond number, and mighty is the army that obeys His command.” (Joel 2:2, 11; NIV)

We are living in an age in which the Lord is mobilizing His army for the next move of God in order to take the kingdoms of this world for His own. These kingdoms, or mountains of cultural influence, will not be taken without a fight. Much like when Israel was directed to possess the land, there are “giants” on these mountains of influence that are greater and mightier than we are. (See Rev. 11:15; Deut. 7, 8.)

The mandate to transform and possess kingdoms for the Lord revealed in Revelation 11:15 will overwhelm us unless we realize the Lord is fighting with and for us. We must not forget that the Lord Jesus is a mighty warrior who fights for His people, and that He is the same God who brought Joshua great victory in fulfilling His mandate to possess nations that were mightier than Joshua was (Exod. 15:3; Josh. 5:14, 10:8-42).

Even though the battles we fight are spiritual rather than literal, the same principles that served Joshua still serve us today. We must receive our commission to fight; we must not fear, but believe the Lord will fight with and for us; and we must believe God can do the impossible. And perhaps most important of all, to be effective reformers we must be able to hear—and be willing to obey—His voice.

Remember, obedience brings blessing, and blessing brings influence. (See God’s Reformation Plan Includes You.) As we obey God’s voice by heeding the principles of His word and the voice of His Spirit, we become positioned in this mighty marching reformation army of God.

No More Delay

There has been consensus among the prophets with regard to the next move of God that there has been delay. Delay, in the context of spiritual warfare and the reformation of nations, is nothing new. Daniel chapters 9 and 10 give us a rare glimpse from scripture into a particular instance of spiritual warfare involving delay. We learn the prince of Persia once withstood angelic forces in bringing a response to Daniel’s prayers for 21 days! (10:12-13)

I had an amazing experience late last October, in which I seemed to be able to hear and experience things that were happening in heaven. It started when one night I was awakened to hear the proclamation, “The 7 Mountain angels say, ‘We have experienced delay.’”

Over the next hour and a half, I heard ensuing and repeated announcements that the Lord Himself was breaking the spirit of delay—such as the Lord Himself proclaiming, “Spirit of delay—you are broken!” and “Let there be delay no longer!” and finally, “There is no more delay—delay has been broken!”

It is interesting that Revelation 10:6, which builds to the proclamation of Revelation 11:15 that the kingdoms of this world have become the kingdoms of our Lord and His Christ, declares that there will be delay no longer.

I, along with many other prophetic voices, am convinced that any delay regarding the next new move of God has been removed, and we can expect to experience no more delay. Which is why, if you listen in the spirit, you can hear the rumble of God’s reformation army on the move.

As you listen you will hear a battle cry in the Spirit—the kingdom of God is about to advance!

Running For The Prize

Something else that occurred last fall was that my husband and I received an assignment from the Lord to visit the four corners of our state. Since we’re Montana coordinators for the Reformation Prayer Network, I could see the benefit of this, but I have to admit I was less than enthusiastic about the prospect—we are, after all, the fourth largest state in the U.S.! I actually initially prayed that the Lord would bring someone else to join my husband for this assignment!

The Lord did bring me around and I came fully on board. But one reason for my initial reluctance was I knew other intercessors had already completed a similar-type assignment.

But the Lord impressed on me that our assignment was critical for the state’s turnaround, regardless of what others before us had done. And we later found out that our four corners state journey corresponded—both in timing and nature—to Jon and Jolene Hamill’s Glory Train turnaround tour of the “four corners” of the United States! (We jokingly referred to ourselves as the “junior varsity” Glory Train tour!)

This brought us confirmation that a limited window for turnaround exists within our nation. And the Lord reminded and reinforced for me that others who came before us are like the great cloud of witnesses, who faithfully fulfilled their role without seeing their promise fulfilled (Heb. 11:39-40).

As we walked, prayed and drove across the state, I was reminded of a relay race. Having once been a track athlete and participant in running relays, I am well aware that no one receives the prize unless every runner in each leg of the race successfully carries the baton and runs according to the rules.

Reformation and turnaround is much like that. No one person, denomination, church or ministry is capable of reforming nations and bringing about the change necessary to see the kingdoms of this world become that of our Lord and His Christ.

But as each one of us takes our place in the Lord’s army by listening and obeying His voice, our leg run for reformation will bring us that much closer to the goal and prize—which is to present the Lord His inheritancepossessing the nations.

Psalm 2:8:

“Ask of Me, and I will give You the nations for Your inheritance, and the ends of the earth for Your possession.”

Lord, may we successfully run our leg in the race that You may receive Your prize. Amen.
